well, I got my new comp, but I leave for a week's vacation tomorrow and don't really feel like spending hours loading and updating games. Apparently the new 1 tb Seagate HD's were updated, as I went through support and entered my serial number and there was no firmware update.
Also, I'll look into this DLC, though only today did I finally beat Nine Toes, so I have quite a ways to go.

by the time you get back from holiday, it'll probably be ready for download for the PC. as of now, it's console only down-loadable content. around 1gb worth.

Apparently, DLC is harder if your character is further in-game. Makes sense to me.
Too bad us poor PC players are going to wait a bit longer for the DLC and the next patch.

I've just finished my 2nd playthrough with my Siren. Did the first one pretty much all by myself, and then I realized how waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay much more fun it is to play with 3 other players Running a Firefly build with a Hellfire SMG dealing some sick DPS.
But now I've created a Hunter and it's just level 10 and it's pissing me off
Nice trick/tip for you guys as well: get some random shitty weapons you don't need on your lvl 50 character, drop them for someone else to pick up, go on your low lvl character and get those weapons back from you friend, sell them and no more money problems
Now time to lvl up a bit...

If you don't have a friend online, open borderlands twice and start a lan game.

One minor complaint: due to the auto-save system, if you are way out in an area you may not be ready for, and you run out of ammo because your guns suck, it's a damn difficult slog getting back to where you belong, since you can't open an archived save (someone correct me if I'm wrong)

bumping this thread.
is this game good for drunk split-screen gameplay?
Debating between this and Gow2 for the "we're pregaming before we begin pre-gaming" video game.
other xbox360 splitscreen game suggestions appreciated as well!

if you can play split screen while blasted i'm sure it is. I end up ALWAYS confusing screens, thinking I'm pooning, but in reality, I'm being poon3d.

Don't console game anymore but from past experience just about any boxing/sports type games fill the gap quite nicely. (not sure on how many are split-screen game play though)

Nothing's better than using the grenade launcher/chainsaw in L4D2 when you're drunk.
Until you meet a tank.

L4D just doesn't do it for me, and while my friend really likes zombie movies and shit, L4D doesn't appeal that much to him either.

First one is really short, but it's always fun to kill zombies.
Second one is quite repetitive but it can be fun if you play with a friend (think horde mode from GoW2).
But yes, both can be enjoyed sober.

Chainsaw is actually pretty slow as far as melee weapons go in the only mode that matters. Just saying.
Anyway, now back to your regularly scheduled Borderlands thread.

This game is absolutely horrible and I regret buying it.
I beat the game with two friends. The ending is very disappointing. The term "story line" is barely applicable to this game as there is hardly any.
